Six months have officially gone by since we welcomed Kyla Loops into our family, wow! how time flies! Since the last time I posted, she had just started to to her tasties, as of this month, she is up and going with her interest in foods, especially the ones she sees us eating as opposed to the gerber jar. By the end of her 4 months she had mastered sitting on her own! TOTALLY did NOT expect her to get that down so quickly, but she did. At 5 months she started a little bit of the tummy scoot and improved her vocal skills with not just yelling at a high pitch range, but we introduced the on/off pat mouth covering technique. The kids loved it! Kyla was able to get that down on her own within 2 weeks and still occassionally does it to get our attention. At the beginning of her 6 month mark she broke in her first bottom tooth. I found it one morning when I was feeding her breakfast. The spoon made a "chink" sound and my jaw dropped! She had not been fussy enough for me to think a tooth was on its way. The following week the 2nd neighboring tooth came in and now she's got a toothy smile, maybe by Christmas she'll get her 2 top fronth teeth;) and the big thing she got down this month was clapping. That was kind of funny how she discovered it... mostly by accident... and when those 2 little clammies smacked together her facial expression I don't think I'll ever forget. It was like, "Wo! Did you see that?!" and she tried it again, and the same thing happened, lol! Cutest thing ever!!!!
It's fun seeing how well M&M get along with their little sister. They definatley, I think anyway, are the reason why she's so quick to get some of these milestones down... she has to keep up pace with them! Keep it up Loops!
