After what felt like a long 2 weeks since our last school break, Thanksgiving came knocking at our door. Boy oh boy were we thankful for that! This year we decided to share our Thanksgiving day with Alex and Cristina's family. Cristina and I took on the new task of preparing the turkey for the first time. (EEEEKS!!!) What seemed like a daunting task, turned out to be pretty easy- if 4 hours of waiting is considered pretty easy, lol! Needless to say, our turkey was Martha Stewart worthy;)
While we waited for the turkey to finish cooking we finished making the other food that would be accompanying our delicious bird. Cristina opted for making the rice with beans and salad. I made the stuffing and thanksgiving styled guacamole. Once we finished doing that we went ahead and played outside with the boys...and Mia, lol! It was nice to see the little pod of kiddo's playing with each other while the Dad's chatted with one another and played catch with the football.
It was early to bed at the end of the day, we were either stuffed from all the food or worn out from all the commotion of the day. Happy Thanksgiving!
